From Dentistry to Voiceover

The Roots of My Voiceover Journey

After spending over 16 years in the healthcare industry, including more than a decade working and training as a dentist, I made a significant career transition into voiceover and voice acting. This shift might seem unusual at first glance, but in reality, it's a natural extension of the skills I've developed throughout my medical career. In the world of healthcare, effective communication is paramount. Over the years, I've had the privilege of addressing large auditoriums on various research topics, explaining complex medical procedures to patients, and, unfortunately delivering difficult and painful news. These experiences required not only technical knowledge but also a deep understanding of how to convey information with clarity, empathy, and authority.

Building Trust Through Communication

One of the fundamental aspects of being a healthcare professional is building trust. Patients rely on their doctors to guide them through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. This trust is forged through clear, compassionate, and honest communication. As a dentist, I learned that the way I delivered information was just as important as the information itself. I have seen firsthand when a colleague has lost the trust of a patient and it can be

Transitioning to Voiceover

When I decided to move into voiceover and voice acting, I realized that these core principles of communication and trust were directly transferable. As a voiceover artist, my goal is to connect with audiences, evoke emotions, and deliver messages effectively. Whether it's narrating a documentary, voicing a commercial, or bringing a character to life, the ability to communicate with authenticity and sincerity remains at the heart of my work.

Behind the microphone, I've discovered a new joy in communication. Unlike in dentistry, where my conversations often revolved around teeth and oral health, voiceover allows me to explore a vast array of topics and industries. From educational content to entertainment, I now have the opportunity to lend my voice to diverse projects, each with its unique demands and rewards.

Embracing a New Chapter

This career transition has been incredibly rewarding. It has allowed me to leverage my strengths in communication while exploring new creative avenues. The trust I built with my patients is something I now strive to establish with my clients and audiences in the voiceover industry. Each project is a partnership, and I am committed to delivering performances that resonate and leave a lasting impact. I have worked with incredible clients who have put their trust in me and we’ve created some amazing projects together.
